PCR Sealing Film: A Very Important But Easily Overlooked Part Of PCR Experiment

Classification of PCR Sealing Film

Ordinary Sealing Film:
1. Polypropylene material,
2. No RNase/DNase and nucleic acid,
3. Easy to seal, not easy to curl
4. Good sealing

QPCR Sealing Film:
1. Higher sealing: QPCR experiments require a lower evaporation rate to ensure the accuracy of data results;
2. Low autofluorescence background, otherwise it will interfere with the fluorescence detection signal;
3. Higher light transmittance: The fluorescence detection module of many QPCR instruments is located above the heating module (top reading signal).

Our Company’s QPCR Sealing Film

Structural Composition:
1. White PET release film: thickness 0.05mm;
2. Adhesive layer: pressure-sensitive silicone layer, thickness 0.05mm;
3. Transparent modified substrate: polypropylene film, thickness 0.05mm;

Product Features:
1. Low initial viscosity, no stickiness to skin and gloves, convenient for sealing plate operation;
2. Low autofluorescence, high transparency (≥90%);
3. Low evaporation rate (≤3%), suitable for small volume PCR experiments (5ul system);
4. After the experiment is completed, it is easy to separate from the
PCR plate without residue;
5. No DNase, no RNase, no heat source;
6. Tolerant temperature range: -20℃-120℃;

Product Application:
1. Applicable to PCR/QPCR experiments;
2. Can be used for the packaging of microfluidic chips due to its chemical inertness and biocompatibility;
3. Suitable for reagent sealing and storage of most 96/384-well plates;

Notes:
The adhesive layer of this sealing film is pressure-sensitive adhesive, so after sticking it on the surface of the PCR plate, you need to use a roller or scraper to apply pressure to the film to increase the adhesion of the film to the PCR plate.
